These are movies that I watch when I am trying to mend my broken heart. They may not be movies that cheer people up but they help me reflect on my own life. That’s what makes me feel better and get over my broken heart…
Not all of them may be “movies.”
1. (500) Days of Summer
I have been told time and time again that this is a sad movie. Yes, it does have a lot very sad aspects, but there are some happy moments and great life lessons to be learned. I feel like Tom does what everyone does when they are in a relationship, he is madly and love and he only sees the good things. I see a lot of myself in Tom and oddly enough I see a lot of myself in Summer, too. I’m definitely a hopeless romantic like Tom, though. There are also a lot of really beautiful quotes from the movie and I use them a lot in my life and I live by them. If people look past the sadness of the movie they will see everything they can learn from it.
2. Like Crazy
Ok, this is definitely a sad movie. More sad than (500) Days of Summer, but it also has very great lessons in it. First, don’t over stay your visa, that will ruin your life! Second, once you truly love someone you never stop. Even if you lose touch or break up you never stop loving them. They are always on your mind no matter what. You are luck if you find that because most people just settle and what they thought was love diminishes and they’re just stuck with someone out of convenience or they break up with/divorce that person. A lot of people, everyone actually mistakes love for other feelings. You’ll know you’re truly in love if you can’t stop thinking about that person and caring about them even if you’re with someone else. That’s another lesson you learn from Like Crazy, it is possible to love one person and be with someone else. Anna and Jacob love each other, they keep coming back to each other, but each of them is able to have other relationships. Yes, it is mostly just out of convenience and loneliness, but they knew at the end of the day even though they were in a different relationship they could still go back with each other.
3. The Twilight Saga
This may seem really lame, but honestly if you recently had a break up or a heart break this movie is for you. I would say this is the movie for rock bottom. Or when you are confused. This is the epitome of cheesy, stupid, unrealistic love. But, if you’re ever torn between two people you don’t want anyone’s feelings to get hurt some sad part of you will make the connection to this and things will make sense. You can also laugh at yourself for being so pathetic and watching this and crying. Been there done that.
4. How I Met Your Mother
This is for all of the hopeless romantics in the world. It may be a comedy, but I often times find myself finding the sad things about it. You put your self in Ted’s shoes, like him you’ve been through person after person and you just want to find the right one already. Also, there’s the one that got away looming in front of you all the time. Some people may argue that Robin is not the one for him, but I disagree. I haven’t seen the seventh season yet and I’m sure whoever the lady is that he does end up with will be magical and perfect, but in my mind he and Robin are a glorious couple. Maybe I’m just reflecting too much of myself onto Ted. The comedy will also cheer you up. And really the only times I cried were in situations with Marshall and Lily.
That’s all I can think of for now. Those are definitely my go to movies when I’m sad and mending a broken heart. Mostly (500) Days of Summer. That movie is my life.
But who is Edward and who is Jacob? I still need to figure that one out.
Also, why does my life have to be Twilight? That sucks.
So, I wanted to get a tattoo on my foot in like a week, but the healing time is a minimum of two weeks and you can’t wear shoes. D: It doesn’t sound that bad but I have to wear sneakers and have no visible tattoos for my job. My foot would not be able to heal! WAH! Looks like I’ll have to wait until after summer when I’m not working. But I want the tattoo NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wah, again.
Also, I believe the sex and Justin Bieber tags worked. :)
Maybe if I have tags like SEX and Justin Bieber I will get more followers…
As I’m going through my tumblr I notice that I just reblog things I like, I figured people would be into the same bizzaro crap I am and follow me. Then, I went through everyone else’s blog and I noticed that they take a bunch of pictures of themselves and complain about everything and call themselves ugly blah blah blah. Is that what I need to do to get followers? I will sit here and take pictures all day long, trust me I will! I will cry about how ugly I am! And I will come up with original, deep, inspiring quotes! Hello, m name is Rosemary Zinke and I am shameless.
Also, yes my one follower this is for you. I love you.
People told me I looked pretty today. Might as well take a picture.
